This home is a testament of combining the old with the new. When the owners contacted Brooks Home Renovations (BHR), they wanted to bring new life to their dated home using materials that stand the test of time. The customers were pleased with how the final design tied their home together. BHR replaced the severely scratched first-floor hardwood floors with large ceramic plank tile. This gave the flooring a seamless transition into each newly remodeled room and a floor more suited for pets. New doors and refashioned millwork are found throughout the home. The great room was opened to the kitchen and added a peninsula with seating, which allows a direct view of the large nickel gap fireplace wall in the great room. The kitchen now has quartzite countertops with tile backsplash and a farmhouse style sink.

The completely redesigned master bathroom features a new floor plan and large glass walled shower. The heated ceramic tile will warm feet. In the bedroom, a “reclaimed wood” tongue and groove accent wall behind the bed makes the space feel warm and rustic.

A hallway water closet was completely reimagined. Moving walls, installing new cabinets, and replacing fixtures make the space more functional. A walk-in shower featuring a niche and a glass door to rinse off after a dip in the pool also became a necessity for this space.

This expansive remodel continues onto the second floor. The elegant wood staircase has a new runner, and there is also new carpet in the bedrooms and hallway. In both of the upstairs bathrooms, new vanity Corian tops and new fixtures were installed. A bathtub was removed from one bathroom and replaced with a tub and tile surround while the other was given a new updated walk-in shower.

New carpet was installed throughout the basement and the bathroom shower was converted from a very tight insert to a large open walk-in shower. A quartz top on the new vanity, new tile floor and fixtures round out the basement.
